Proscenium Theatre
A proscenium theater is a specific style of theater. The classically defining feature of a proscenium theater is the proscenium, an arch which frames the stage for the audience. In addition, the audience faces the stage directly, with no audience on the sides of the stage, and the stage in a proscenium theater is typically raised, allowing the audience to see more clearly.
It was a relish watching the students of CUIM showing their theatrical skills and bringing forward the artist in them. The proscenium theatre event was enlivened with beautiful costumes, innovative props, colorful stage and captivating expressions and performance by the students.
The event took place in the 10th floor of the Central Block with large number of students and faculty members coming forward to witness and encourages the participants.
The various teams performed on eminent plays like Siddhartha
Socrates
The event was a great success and was marked by close competition.
Special Thanks to our Director Father Thomas T.V., Faculty Co-ordinators Prof. Anirban Ghatak and Prof. Vedha Balaji, whose presence gave confidence to the participants.
