Street to Success

The final event of Blossoms CUIM is none other than “Street Play” which was held in Kengeri Campus.
Both main and Kengeri campus teams showed enthusiasm and participation in order to excel in the art of street theatre. Combining the script, dialogues, characters, song and co-ordination by the three final teams saw great success
The first team to go was “Pitch Black” which enacted an honour killing story. We do hear about honour killings in India especially in semi urban and rural areas fantastically acted and performed by the pitch black team.

Second team “Dynamos” reflected upon cruelty towards women in our society even prior to their birth i.e. female infanticide, then their early age i.e. deprived education and as they grow they the suffering grows in the ways of eve teasing, job opportunities, dowry and obligation to their in laws.

Very well displayed by the “Dynamos” did give a lesson in the end to the audience.
Third team “Gal-Lee Nautanki” did prove their team name worthy of street play focussed on various issues in our daily life as we move along ignoring it such as
·         Rights
·         Peace
·         Progress
·         Hopes

and naturally affecting us. The audience had an amazing time and did really realize the issues affecting us.
By this CUIM ended the afternoon on a great note, making the evening memorable and a day for every faculty, participant and audience to remember.
The event was a great success and was marked by close competition.
Special Thanks to our Director Father Thomas T.V., Faculty Co-ordinators Prof. Anirban Ghatak and Prof. Vedha Balaji, whose presence gave confidence to the participants.
Student Co-ordinators, Event Managers and Volunteers have ensured great success for the event.
Last but not the least we thank the University staff who has been diligent and worked hard, helping us lead the event to a success.
