"Music heals all the wounds"
The wound created by missing out an hour of class, surely was healed by the music that filled my ears...Music surpasses all boundaries, the lazy Thursday afternoon; when most of the students were sitting in class, in half slumber; some of us had the opportunity to soak ourselves in some breath taking music.
The talent that the future managers have, is immense. Although I am not even a qualified bathroom singer; I felt like singing with them. Occasionally, I too hummed with the music, to my surprise. In addition to the participants, there was a fair crowd to cheer them as well. Good music was met with much appreciation from the crowd. Since, there was a constraint of time, the singers were asked to limit their singing time. Some were so immersed in their songs; that they were reluctant to leave the stage even after their time was up and were clutching onto the mic so tightly.
There were moments of pure fun as well. When a name was called out, it was met with a reply "Sorry, he has just gone to the washroom".
What is worth mentioning is the multi talented stars who stole the show, with their fingers creating magic with instruments and voice soothing my mind. Infact my rendezvous with music was glocalised-Indian & Western. I forgot my hunger and thirst and had no idea about the passage of time, listening to the vibrant songs across diverse languages and genres. The participation and the enthusiasm shown by the first year students of MBA is truly commendable.
My heart is now light and my soul has been enriched.
Thank you musicians, I bow before thee !!
